Do you find it hard to fall asleep, wake during the night, or feel your sleep is not restorative? Sophrology offers a gentle approach to help the body let go again and recover a natural sleep rhythm, alongside medical care where needed.

What the practice brings Sophrology acts on the mechanisms that disrupt falling asleep and sleep quality. Through breathing exercises (such as the 4-7-8 technique), progressive muscle relaxation and positive visualisation, it helps to: - Calm the nervous system and reduce the state of alert that keeps you awake - Lower anticipatory anxiety at bedtime ("will I sleep tonight?") - Release physical tension (jaw, shoulders, abdomen) that prevents relaxation - Retrain the body to recognise the signals of fatigue and respond to them - Improve deep sleep quality and recovery

Support is built session after session, with short exercises to repeat at home, including at bedtime. Regular practice is the key factor: the effects are often felt from the first week of daily training.

When to seek help It may be useful to consult if: - Falling asleep regularly takes more than 30 minutes - You wake often during the night and find it hard to fall back asleep - Your sleep is light, with a feeling of not having recovered - Apprehension about bedtime sets in (fear of not sleeping) - Stress, mental load or anxiety disrupt your nights
